Verizon Sucks

서비스가 너무 ... 후지네요. 말만 번지르르 하고 문제 해결 능력이 없거나, 일부러 골탕먹이려고 작정한 듯합니다. 가만히 쓰고 있던 인터넷 서비스를 업그레이드 하라고 했다가, 이상해서 확인해보니 그 업그레이드 원래 안되는 거였다고. 다시 옛날로 돌아가라고 해서 옛날 서비스로 다운그레이드를 하는데 완전 구석시시대 프로그램으로 만들어놓고나서는 그걸또 일주일 내내 고치지도 못하고.. 고친다고친다 말만하고..

버라이즌 쓰지 마세요.

OK. This posting is for my personal note. But my intention is to make this information public and to remain in the public space.

My argument: Verizon (henceforth V) sucks. Big time. Why? Well, I will just say what happened to me and let you decide.

I had a high speed internet service from V that provides largely four categories of residential internet services: Plan A ("High Speed Internet"): up to 1mbps, Plan B: 1-3, Plan C: up to 7, and Plan D: up to 15 ("High Speed Internet Enhanced").  Beyond that, V has something call Fios for fastest internet service.

I think I had Plan B for a while. And then V called to update it to Plan C for no extra charge. So I agreed to it. For a couple of days the speed went up like 5 or 6. But only a few days. The speed went down to the previous level such as 2 or 3. VsucksReason01

Intermittent/slow connection persisted. I called. V sent me a new router. Still no resolution.

Friday May 22, 2015.
I called regarding the issue again. The representative said that my house was not eligible for Plan C!! And since my house was hooked up to a plan that was not supposed be, the line was jammed and that's why it was slow. Well, V apparently decided to give me a service that was not even available. He said he would downgrade the service to my house to Plan B and it would actually improve the speed.

Later the speed got worse under 1 mbps contrary to what V said. VsucksReason03

Wednesday May 27 2015.
I called again at 9:43PM and my phone was answered at 10:14PM. I waited about an half hour. VsucksReason04
Mr. Bern answered. I asked him my house was eligible for Plan C. He said yes. Either he was incompetent or lying. VsucksReason05
I explained the situation. He backpedaled and said that there was no Plan C available on my neighborhood. And then He discovered that my house was actually on Plan A. So V apparently said on 22nd it would put me back on Plan B, but actually put me on Plan A while charging the same price. Either V was incompetent or lying. VsucksReason06

Mr. Bern fixed the price and said he would restore my service. But he said that I had to until Monday. Out of frustration I asked his supervisor. Tony (badge number Z711836) answered and we discussed my issues. He assured that he would do his best to fix my problems but he couldn't do anything about waiting until Monday. Well, I had no choice but to say I would. He also told me he would call me the next day. He didn't. Either V was incompetent or lying. VsucksReason06

No progress. Still under 1. Either V was incompetent or lying. VsucksReason07

8:58AM Wednesday June 3 2015
I called again to report this issue. Ms. Belle confirmed that the order was still pending and overdue. She put me through a sales representative, Natasha who said the issue would be resolved in thirty minutes--10AM. No improvement. Either V was incompetent or lying. VsucksReason08

Around 4:00PM Wednesday June 3 2015
I called again. The same response. However, now Mr Si or Sei said the restoration of Plan C would occur at the end of the day. I asked to talk to someone higher up but he refuse to connect me. V was insincere. VsucksReason09

Around 9:00AM. Thursday June 4, 2015.
No improvement. Of course... I called again. Ms. Belle--who I spoke 24 hours ago--answered the phone. She did a long research and said my order was STILL "pending." VsucksReason10 
And she said there was a system error holding my order. VsucksReason11 
According to her the problem should be solved within a hour or so. She promised me to call me back today at 5:00PM to check the problem was solved.  

So, if anyone who is responsible in V see this post, please remember a customer is really, really unhappy with your company. I know you won't care. I know you will say sorry--maybe. I know you will pretend other department, not yours, is responsible. But I hope you will know you suck. Well, you already know that. So, I guess I have to congratulate on being so rich and horrible at the same time.
